ABOUT

Footprint Theatre is an emerging northern company creating work through a combination of devising and new writing.

We were founded in 2014 by a group of students at the University of Sheffield with a desire to make work for more intimate audiences in minimalist spaces.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we create, with our range of collective interests and experiences allowing our work to constantly evolve and grow. We prioritise the creative process over the final performance as we work together to craft intricate stories and detailed worlds. We remain dedicated to exploring big ideas in uncomplicated ways.

We would like to thank the following people for their support over the years:

Amy Clewes, Arts Council England, Camden People's Theatre, Carys Williams, Hamish Ellis, Hannah Bentley, Incoming Festival, Joe Bunce, JSP, Lucy Hind, Making Room, Martha Roberts, Michael Brazier, The National Student Drama Festival, The New Diorama, Rob Hemus, The Royal Exchange, Sarah Sharp, Sheffield Theatres, Sheffield University Theatre Company, Shoreditch Town Hall, Theatre Delicatessen, University of Sheffield Theatre Workshop, University of Sheffield Alumni Foundation and ZOO Venues.
