DANIEL

Our debut production follows those left behind when an eighteen-year-old is sentenced and imprisoned for the possession of 50,000 indecent images of children. Daniel explores the unheard stories of the family and friends who are forced to deal with the aftermath.

Daniel was created by Footprint Theatre in 2015 and originally performed at Moor Deli. After this first run, the production was selected for the National Student Drama Festival 2016 and as a result transferred to Scarborough in 2016. At the NSDF'16, Daniel won the Judges' Award for Creative Collaboration and the Judges' Commendation for Directing.

Following the success of this run, Daniel transferred to ZOO Southside for two weeks as part of the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The show was featured in Lyn Gardner's 'Picks of the Fringe' (2016) and The Stage's 'Edinburgh Festival Fringe: Our Pick of the Bunch' (2016).

The production premiered in London in October 2016 at Camden People's Theatre and in the North West in March 2017 at The Royal Exchange Theatre.

Daniel also transferred to the New Diorama as part of the 2017 Incoming Festival.
